Heinz-Werner Engel has been active in the environmental field for 30 years as a senior environmental counsellor. He is trainer and "maître de conferences" with extensive coaching networking on European and international level with focus on EMAS and ISO 14001.
He is considered as one of the world leading experts in EMS systems and small business applications and is representing INEM in the ISO/TC 207 Working Group and in the european Article 14 commitee for the revision of EMAS. His writings have been translated in more than 30 language and his tools like Ecomapping or EMAS Easy are used worldwide.
His expertise is in the application of the EMAS regulation and ISO 14001 in different sectors and cluster implementations.
He has developed a number of tool such as Eco-mapping and EMAS/ISO easy, which are the worldwide reference for environmental management in small business and have been distributed in over 80 countries.
