Eco-counselling Enterprise offers the combined expertise of 25 consultants in the field of Environmental Management Systems (EMAS/ISO 14001) and sustainable development within 10 European countries as well at international level.
Experienced environmental consultant with blue chip, international oil industry experience, Nigel Carter worked for British Petroleum between 1970 and 1992. He was responsible for the implementation of the UK Health and Safety Act (1974) in a petroleum product distribution installation and oversaw environmental protection measures in a major crude oil and petroleum gas plant. Latterly, working as a consultant, he has been dedicated to delivering environmental performance improvement in industry, especially in the small business sector. He served on the environment committee of the UK's Federation of Small Businesses between 1995 and 1999. He now leads the UK delegation to ISO TC 207 Working Group 5. His environmental capacity-building work has included seminar facilitation for ISO DEVCO in the Philippines and Indonesia, for the European Council for Peace and Development (ECPD) in Serbia and for commercial training organizations in the UK and overseas.
